Like home appliances, your computer and other tech devices need regular cleaning and maintenance. Here are some quick tips and links to keep these devices lasting longer and working efficiently.

Computer & Keyboard
Have you checked your computer or laptop for dust bunnies lately? Dust can lead to overheating, reduce computer performance, and eventually damage the components. Likewise, dust and debris in the keyboard can result in sticky, non-functioning keys.
To clean your computer and keyboard, gather these supplies: a compressed air can, cleaning cloths, and isopropyl alcohol (99%).

Cleaning Computer Files & System
After the external cleaning is done, help your computer by cleaning up its internal systems. Consider deleting files you don’t need, running regular antivirus scans to protect from viruses and malware, and performing monthly file backups.
Phone
Just like your computer, your phone runs better if you regularly maintain it. Keep the exterior clean of debris and dust, avoid extreme temperatures that will damage the battery, close background apps, clear the cache to increase performance, and back up your data.

Printer
Lastly, if you have a home printer, dust it a little and clean the ink cartridge heads every few months.
