Build your carpentry skills while working with reclaimed materials in this hands-on class focused on reuse and creativity. Designed for woodworkers with some prior experience, this class explores safe shop practices specific to working with salvaged and unconventional materials. Participants will build a small spice rack using upcycled laminate made from broken or unrideable skateboards. Along the way, you’ll learn how to evaluate reused materials, work through their unique challenges, and turn them into something functional and visually striking. You’ll leave with a finished spice rack that serves as both a practical kitchen organizer and a one-of-a-kind accent piece.
Pre-registration is required. You must be 18 years or older to participate.
BRING offers two price points for each class. General Admission is the standard class price. Oregon SNAP Card holders and those with similar income levels may register for Reduced-price Admission. There will be a limited number of Reduced-price admissions available…
